Seaham- what are they looking for?

There are 3 people in the picture. The two on the beach are looking for sea glass. Seaham beach is famous for sea glass. The glass is tumbled by the waves giving it a lovely texture and taking off all the sharp edges. The guy looking in the pool- well your guess is as good as mine.
