Canal, river, coast

Our tour started near Yealand Conyers and involved cycling along the Lancaster Canal towpath from Carnforth, across the aqueduct and Millennium Bridge in Lancaster and on to Overton and along the River Lune to Sunderland Point.  Then we headed north to Heysham, up the coast of Morecambe Bay along the prom to Hest Bank, then back to Carnforth and to the cars.  A Grand Day Out with historical/social interest (Sambo's grave), people watching (Morecambe prom), off-road sections on road bikes (Andy's short cuts), two cafes and no rain!
