Gin and Jazz

OH did MIL shopping first thing so I took myself off for a walk with a podcast - British Scandal all about the abdication of Edward VII - interesting stuff. Home for shower and change and when OH got home we headed off to TW as OH had seen Jazz and Gin festival advertised. We parked a distance away and walked through the back of TW towards the pantiles and found some lovely houses prompting a conversation about downsizing and moving house? The Pantiles was buzzing but we found a restaurant with tables outside and sat in the sunshine. I ordered a gin ( made in Cornwall with orange and something else?) and we waited ages for the barman to bring them, then like buses another serving arrived. Apparently problems with ordering system meant orders were duplicated. However when I found out it was gratis , I couldn’t turn it down! A delicious brunchetta with salmon and marscapone went down a treat.

We listened to the jazz and soaked up the atmosphere before heading home. Didn’t bother with dinner, just some cheese and a glass of wine. Interesting Netflix choice with Hugh Bonneville playing a baddie completed a good day.
