Tha an t-uisge ann

A lovely evening at the theatre seeing Little Women with A&R - it was a good but not brilliant production.  The interpretation of Jo was very good though, full of exuberance and carried off well.

The actor who was due to play Laurie was ill and another member of the ensemble stepped in at a few hours notice and did exceptionally well, which was acknowledged by fellow cast members. It's moments like this which make live theatre special.

Having said I also saw an exceptionally good film this morning. The Gaelic Cafaidh I'd planned was on as Joy Dunlop couldn't make it. This meant I could see Dùthchas instead - an exceptionally powerful film exploring connections to a place.

Dùthchas translates as home but means much more than that - not dissimilar to the concept of Heimat in Germany.

We were greeted with heavy rain as we left the theatre (as well as darkness) and got rather wet.

Now watching an episode of Friends with A&R - the one where Joey reads Little Women.
