Saribus Rotundifolius (Anahaw)
Strava Day 459. Indoor yoga, forest walk and reading done (Read a critique/backgrounder of Angela Carter written by Joan Acocella in a previously mentioned old New York Times issue).

Grateful as always for family, nature, food, space and quality sleep.

Yesterday, T got invited into a school sponsored feeding program. He made me laugh when he said: Am not going there to eat! Am just going there to spectate!
P: Why bother going to a feeding program at all then?

It seems he enjoyed the program as he brought home a "Diabetes bag" (his words). It's a goodie bag filled with cookies and other sweets.

Featured photo is the Anahaw in our backyard, shot on mobile, edited via Snapseed. Learned upon a quick Google search that this is apparently the Philippines' National leaf as it is a symbol for Filipinos ingenuity and resourcefulness: it is the leaf used to create abanikos (fan) and also used as a food wrapper by the tikoy makers.
