Nearly in the bush
Father's Day today. FaceTime call from Tsuken in Sydney, and a lovely afternoon tea with daughters J and C. C brought a (still warm) Banana Loaf, and J brought some savouries which she had finished cooking in our oven. So again nice and warm. Went will with a McLeod's Pale Ale. The brewery is in Waipu, and McLeod's were in my family tree. I haven't investigated if there is a connection.
Earlier this afternoon I walked around the back part of the property, picking up some of the fallen twigs, ponga fronds etc, and put them in the pile. That was when I looked at the concrete Tuatara, which had sat comfortably on the apartment deck, and is now nearly off to the side and into the bush.
