Nap time

I really wanted to take a picture of something funny for Silly Saturday but didn’t quite manage!

Phin and Scoobie were good all night and enjoyed their pre breakfast cuddles (as did I). I nipped up to the butcher to collect my rib roast and was there in time to see him prepping the large side of beef for me.

A bad accident on the bypass (sadly resulting in a death) meant traffic was diverted and Ali arrived with Henry before Susan had been able to collect Scoobie. We were hoping to keep them apart as the last time they met Henry wouldn’t settle and Michael & Ali left to go home in the wee small hours. Thankfully this time, no such drama and the dogs were very good with each other. Poor Susan took almost 3 hours to travel 40 miles.

The rib roast was delicious but we made the mistake of carving it and keeping it warm in the oven so we lost the lovely pinkness! Tasted good though.

Pavlova for dessert was also yummy.
