Open Garden

One of the local gardens was open under the National Garden Scheme so I went to have a nose round. They had 4.5 acres of orchard, field and formal garden, a fantastic view and a full time gardener who had edged the lawns immaculately. . I'm guessing from the cage that  they have trouble with deer.  The orchard was large and they can't pick all the apples. They leave  most for the birds and small mammals.
