Staddle stone

When we were chopping back the clematis yesterday we rediscovered this old staddle stone and shell buried beneath all the foliage. I knew it was there somewhere but it hasn’t seen the light of day for a few years. I am just back from taking the dogs for their evening walk across the fields.
This morning I dropped in at the farm and had coffee and biscuits. I took them a few tomatoes that I have been growing in my old greenhouse. Then on to do the grocery shopping. Later I cleaned the bunnies out. Also I made some dropped scones which I haven’t made for years. Now I am planning on reading a book.
