Silly hats and 'Sunday Lunch!'

The children were around today and were drawn to the cap on the new rotary washing line spike. It stuck up a little, and has a white label on the top. So we decided it would be best to put the correct top on the spike, it stops any water and dirt going down the hole in the middle.
Daniel commented that it looked like a tiny top hat so, me being the idiot in the family, balanced it on top of my head. Johanna wasn't going to miss a chance like that and took a photo.
Funniest bit is Hendrix, in the background, copying me but with a Dinosaur!
So you have gathered they were all round today, apart from Julia and the twins, of course, they are still out in Cyprus. With being so busy there was no Sunday dinner so half opted for KFC and the other half for McDonalds. This is a very unusual occurrence in our house but we all enjoyed it, and I discovered that the KFC Chicken Fillets really are all chicken breast meat, quite unexpectedly delicious. I'm not usually a great fan of fast food.

As for jobs, we just did some tidying up, filling the gaps in my attempts to modify the additional 4x4cm post, for which I used an angle grinder with a cutting disk. Didn't do a bad job but difficult to cut a small bit without going just a little too far. Filled it with dark mastic and spray painted with matt black paint. 
And Jonty just looked on bewildered at how humans are constantly on the go, why don't we just slow down and sleep a lot, like he does!
