Cosmos flowers

I saw these on a solo walk this afternoon.  Stuart and Paul decided to do a much longer walk - which I didn't fancy in the heat this afternoon.  I went out for a walk once they got back and saw these flowers in a front garden.  

I think there may be thunder tonight, then a couple of fine days, then over 24 hours of passing storms.  We might get three inches of rain in that longer period, apparently...
