Fan girl

So excited at being at Oran Mor tonight. There was a live reading of 2 episodes of Fags Mage and Bags. These guys are so funny and such talented writers who were genuinely happy to have received such a great reception of their show.

I was delighted to be given a copy of assist and ran around like a fan girl getting folk to sign it.

It's been on Radio 4 for a few years now, normally in a Just Before Lunch slot so it's maybe not had the widest of audiences. But find it and listen!

It's about a fictitious corner shop in Lenzie, run by a guy called Ramesh (or Rammers as he was tonight) who has 2 sons neither of whom, for different reasons, is very good at Shop. There is a trusty assistant Dave who has a penchant for contracting words and phrases. He came up with Lenzidens. Denizens of Lenzie. I once said Lenziedent and got a row for saying it wrong!

Sanjeev Kohli and Donald McLeary, I salute you. And a hearty bravo to the rest of the cast. I've just got to say it again, Mr Hepworth is Hawt!! (And it was great to meet very well travelled Phil, who had come up from Brighton just for tonight.)
