Fledgling Yesterday, Independent Today

Yesterday I watched a male House Finch feeding his two babies...today I saw both of the babies feeding themselves...I think this is one of the little ones.

The weather was warm again today. I took my pruners into the garden to cut two branches over my hammock however I kept seeing more and more pruning I needed to do. An hour later I was sweating with a pile of limbs and a full yard debris bin. 

Later we went over to Ellie's home. Her Mommy flew into Portland this morning, and Ellie was very happy to see her. She will be in town for a couple of days; I hope all goes well as she is staying at her parent's house with Ellie; she seems calmer and happier so it may be great.
