B had a Sunday shift on the paper so worked quietly and persistently through the day, in the middle of everything, without joining in until we all sat down to lunch at around 2.30  V made a whole roast turbot from a recipe by the owner of Brat, a favourite London restaurant   It was absolutely delicious.  

In the morning I took Ivy over to see Mum, Ivy was a bit grouchy at first because of just waking up but soon settled and they played together.  Very sweet.  I picked some dahlias for Mum, ones we’d planted last year which had struggled back up and were now flowering nicely 

Walked and picked blackberries and after taking B and C and I to Guildford (replacement bus service) made compote.
