Cleavers

what a fun plant, galium aparine. it is a native wild flower.

cleavers has small hooks on the stems, leaves, and seeds. when i would find some when walking with the kids, i would grab it, break a big portion of the plant off and throw it at them. it is very light so it wouldn't hurt them but would stick to their clothing. they would then take it off and throw it back to stick on me. sweet memories.
