Arizona woodpecker
It was late in the day when this woodpecker arrived, a local endemic species. We had seen it briefly before on an earlier trip to Madera Canyon, but we were much closer this time.
I have just uploaded a week's worth of images, and still have more to go to get up to date. It's hard to keep up with Blip travelling, and not easy to come up with something reasonable every single day. I didn't think it would be harder than at home. We generally camp where there is no power, or cell reception, and keeping batteries charged is the priority. We do have a car charger, but I can really only use the laptop briefly, when it isn't too dusty, and it has been charged up. Tonight is a motel night, no convenient campgrounds, so good opportunity to catch up with chores, laundry, showers, emails etc.
