Cheeky dentists

This morning after waking to a ton of fresh snow I got up early and went to the dentist. They never tell you what they are going to do?! So she starts scraping my teeth and I asked what she was doing and at what cost! Scaling and something or other checking? 'You have a plan dont you?' she says. 'Yes'. (I had cleaning before, my teeth are fine, they told me this before, I can see that they look very very clean)

An hour and half later of expected unpleasantness BEFORE breakfast, after a few beers the night before we are done. Now pay us $250. So it turns out that $1200 only covered 2 trips to the dentist for 1 session of cleaning and some checks. It turns out these different checks they do, despite the taking of 2 whole minutes costs between $80-$200. So I got it down to $166.

The dentist is so expensive! But hey I guess they know what they re doing, or are they scamming??
