I’m the king of the castle

It was dreich all day today with torrential rain and strong wind - a good day for staying indoors.  The only time I left the house was for a podiatry appointment.

I think we are now addicted to Unforgotten. We started on Series 2 Episode 1 tonight. Watching the threads being woven to bring a number of disparate people together is so incredibly interesting.

There is a beautiful Magnolia tree at the bottom of the garden and one branch has risen straight up from the rest of the tree with one beautiful bloom on its tip.  I’ve watched this lovely bloom for a few days and after it survived today’s rain and wind decided it needed to be blipped.  As a bonus, three little sparrows made it into the blip, unbeknownst to me until I looked at the photo.

There are 1,296 new community cases today, and the seven-day rolling average is 1,7788 compared to 2,425 last Monday. The number of people in hospital is 257, including 4 in ICU. The seven-day rolling average increase in total deaths attributable to Covid-19 is 6 and 1,915 deaths have been confirmed as either directly attributed to Covid, or with Covid as a contributing factor.
