pity it doesn`t work

Spotted this beautiful Art Deco clock atop a not very beautiful building in Halford Sreet.
Can`t find out anything about it or the building except the clock is made of Portland stone and it no longer works. At least it`s right twice a day.

My blip for Wednesday showed the Coronation and Jubilee Building formerly known as the Singer Building. It`s Grade II listed and was designed by Wakerley. The roundels on the front depict a Union Flag, a country and an animal associated with that country and there are 6 of them
