First introduced in the fifties, the speakers went on to save lives with vital early warnings of US bombing raids during the Vietnam War (Vietnamese call it American War), but they've since been reduced to a more mundane mix of propaganda and bureaucracy - reminding people to get vaccinated, to pick up pensions, clean the streets...
As I was passing by, a man's voice was instructing citizens about unmarried couples and how they shouldn't be living together.
People don't pay much attention, it's just a noise pollution. To me it sounds like an old outdated gramophone sound, a bit nostalgic...
