Overnight snow

I was tardy pulling the curtains this morning. Snug inside I was completely lulled into forgetting that I'd heard the patter of snow last evening. It was well and truly melting by the time I ventured out.

Jasper wasn't hugely impressed. There was lots of paw shaking, sniffing, and loud protests. I watched him edge himself away from snow wherever he could and run whenever he couldn't avoid it.

Most of the snow was gone by mid morning, the sun saw to that. Tonight's frost will be a cracker. I've put frost cloth over the lemon, apricot, and nectarine trees. Some of the other frost tender plants may take a hammering.
