Anderton Boat Lift

We traveled to visit this amazing construction which lifts two boats at one time between the river below to the canal above but it was not in action today and the planed riverboat cruise was unavailable too due to the skipper being on holiday. Enjoyable day despite the numerous diversions due to roadblocks.
