MrsCyclops and I were married eight years ago today, on the 1st May 2005. I have worn this wedding ring, which she made for me, ever since as a constant reminder of that lovely day and what it means.

In some ways it seems an arbitrary landmark to celebrate. We've been together since 2001, nearly 12 years, and getting married was a landmark on our journey together rather than a step change in our relationship.

Whatever date we chose our relationship is definitely worth celebrating and I'm really looking forward to taking her out for dinner this evening.

So HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MrsCyclops, and THANK YOU for being such an important part of my life. xxx
