Signs of Autumn

Apples and brambles ripen slowly, leaves turn colour gradually and fungi appear almost instantly.

Searching for fungi means moving off the paths into the woodland areas and be prepared for much knee bending. The trouble is getting back up when there is nothing to grab hold of.

A dry morning but it was quite different this afternoon when we had some torrential rain. Blue skies now so all is well.
