Beauty and the Beast

This is Hawthorn blossom - something so beautiful on a plant with such wicked thorns.

Me and Muffin were out this evening at the local country park, a favourite for her as it has a small loch. This is just as well, since when she swam out to get the ball she missed it and instead of coming back to shore, she just kept on going and swam right across!
I know now what I had previously only suspected; the dog is a really good swimmer!
That little worry aside, she had a lovely walk which means we should get a peaceful evening :)
