Afal fy llygad ~ Apple of my eye

“It is possible for us to discover our own innocence and childlike beauty. Discovering the innocent childlike quality in us does not mean being reduced to a child. Rather, we become fresh, inquisitive, sparkling. We want to know more about the world, more about life. When our preconceptions are stripped away, we begin to realize ourselves—it is like a second birth. We discover our innocence, our primordial quality, our eternal youth.
—Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche

Treulion ni' ddiwrnod bywiog gyda Sam. Roedd e'n gymwynasgar iawn gyda phigo afalau - mae tri chilogram ar ddeg ohonyn nhw gyda ni nawr - ac maen nhw'n flasus iawn.  Rhwng cawodydd roedd Sam yn hapus iawn i chwarae gyda'r pwll a rhaeadr. Heddiw roeddwn i hefyd trio coginio cwins. Maen nhw'n galed iawn, ac maen nhw'n anodd ffeindio ffordd i goginio nhw. Cafodd Sam ei ddifyrru gan ein hymdrechion.

We spent a lively day with Sam. He was very helpful with picking apples - we now have thirteen kilograms of them - and they are very tasty. Between showers Sam was very happy to play with the pool and waterfall. Today I also tried cooking quinces. They are very hard, and it is difficult to find a way to cook them. Sam was amused by our efforts.
