Sally Mair - Loving life

I spent this morning running around and doing prep for going away tomorrow. Ironing is done - ironing, you can tell I'm going away! For the second week running I'll be away Wednesday till Sunday. This time it is a Cursillo course, I'm part of the presenting team. We had one of our participants pull out today having tested positive for Covid.
I had an appointment at my GP this afternoon and had a chat with her about my cough. She's given me a steroidal nasal spray to try for a month to see if things improve. I have to say that I was very happy to find that I was coughing so badly when I was in London as I was beginning to wonder if perhaps the cats were a trigger.
On leaving the doctors, I decided to go and have shellac on my nails to try and stop me biting my fingers. I think it's probably a nervous thing, but they were getting in quite a state and I don't do it when they have shellac on them. So now they are looking good with a very smart shiny pink colour on them.
On my way to the salon I heard the sound of pipes and when I looked up, spotted the subject of my blip. He'd climbed out of the window of his flat onto the roof of the shop below. I had to laugh when I saw the name of the shop, somehow it fitted rather well!
While I was in the nail salon, the sky suddenly went very dark, around 3.30pm and the heavens opened! The rain was positively torrential, I had a jacket with me, but it was no protection against that.
I ran to the coffee shop next door and found a text from Colin offering to pick me up. I accepted gratefully. We took a roundabout route home as the roads were very quickly grinding to a halt. The thunder and rain continued for over an hour. The traffic took 3 or 4 hours to clear.
Thank you for admiring my lovely little one yesterday, she's such fun!
