not so blue

According to my Google search this is a Common Blue Damselfly. Why is it not blue? Because it is a female. Blue is reserved for the boys.
On another note, my mother always lamented that she could not be sad (yes, I get the irony of it) because moms are the "bell weather" of the family and have to keep everyone happy. But as you can see, she let the blues out on occassion.
