Flower Friday ...

... Cardinal flower and juvenile Ruby-throated Hummingbird.

As the time for their departure gets closer the hummingbirds get bolder ... and less afraid of us.  I was sitting outside taking pictures of the chipmunks when this beauty came in for some nectar.  I wasn't more than 6 feet away at the time.  I actually had to pull in the telephoto to get him all in the shot.
