Women

There are more statues of animals than women here in Denmark. So as part of Golden Days and Queen Margrethe’s 50th jubilee there are 50 pillars displayed in Dronningens Nytorv in Copenhagen (the name is temporarily changed from The King’s New Market). 49 significant women are celebrated with plaques on the pillars, the 50th is free for the public to nominate their choice.
