The Hoad Monument

A trip to Ulverston to visit a friend who is currently staying in St Mary's Hospice there.  She had been in a lot of pain last night but this morning she was feeling better and managed a short walk around the gardens there.  She is about to undergo a further treatment of radiotherapy in Preston and is awaiting details of which day and the transport arrangements.  She has to be transported lying down as it is too painful for her to sit upright.

From here to Gillam's for lunch and a potter around the quirky shops in Ulverston.

Sunshine and showers here today and the odd rumbling of thunder.

In other news two grandsons have started school this week.  All seems to be going well and we have photos of them looking very smart in their uniforms.
