Ginger

I am very excited as I planted this ginger 3 years ago and this is the first year there have been signs of flowers! It dies back every winter and I always worry that it might have died but no - this year presumably with our hot dry summer it is magnificent. It reminds me of Penang where one of my daughters is teaching. There it continues to grow all year round. But I am very excited this year!!
