Ahoy there!
A sneaky catch up while Esme has gone to check out a new nursery! It's all pretty full on and fabulous here! The day starts early with a boisterous dawn chorus (thrush followed by tui) then an invitation for crumpets (once at 6.45am!) Today we were up bright and early and off to the garden. Joe is selling his house (yikes) and has bought a section of land where he wants to build a tiny home - it's just up the road and he calls it the garden for it's full of the most amazing trees and shrubs - avacado, guava, cherry, plums, apples. It hasn't been looked after for a while and is wild and in the middle is a pirate ship built around a tree. Today we tidied up the pirate ship and made a start at hacking back - sound familiar??
After all that we needed a trip to a beach and an ice cream! Energy levels still high, a bounce on the trampoline followed by sandpit fun and a spot of pulling out enormous radishes was in order.
Supper, a very absorbed session with Dado's waterolours and we were all ready for bed!! We've no internet so evenings are a bit quiet but I'm rereading The Mirror and the lIght, which I read here last time and it's still here. A hefty tome which will keep me quiet.
