White-nosed Coatimundi
I adore this photograph. I really do. It came up to me as we gazed lovingly into each other's eyes. It's less formally known as a coati (ko-ah'-tee)and is a member of the racoon family. I went to Madera Canyon for my ashiatsu massage (the kind she walks on your back) and ended up with my best photo of a coati. This is a gorgeous animal. Check it out in large.
I got a call this morning from the person who bought my photo during the Tubac Center of the Arts exhibit. She wants to see more of my work. So I asked her what she was looking for specifically. 'Foxes, raccoons and lemurs.' Lemurs? I asked her if she'd like a coati (I have some good ones) I wanted more to choose from, though. This guy was there when I arrived and hung around for a good long while. She wants me to send her a selection of my work by email. That just ain't happening.
Also saw lions and tigers and bears, oh my. Not really. But I did spy plenty of deer, birdies and bunny wabbits. All in all, a good day.
In other news...Four more sleeps until I spend a week up there. Also, I haven't gotten to the mono Monday entries yet but those I've seen so far have been very funny.
