Wall Decoration

I managed to get out for a walk late morning after the rain eased off. I stopped to capture a shot of this decoration than has been built into a refurbished wall near a small housing development. The rain falling on the wall has enhanced the colour of the stones.

I am intrigued by the small creatures that have been added to what appears to be a millstone. I do not know what significance (if any) they have. The land that has been built on was the site of an old farm house and outbuildings …
