Guard cat mittens

There have been a number of tomato thefts in the area around our house in the last few weeks and so it has been necessary to employ a “watch cat” to make sure that these have been kept to a minimum.
Although we haven’t actually seen him “in action”, we strongly suspect Hugo, our dog, is the culprit.
A few days ago, he started salivating really badly and seemed most uncomfortable.
We were rather worried and when my wife opened his mouth to give him some medicine, there was a green tomato stuck on one of his teeth. When it was removed, he was fine.
