Getting there

I blipped a photo of a  Southern Red Bishop on the 30th August at the start of his transition stage to breeding plumage. This is just over a week later and he is much more colourful,  but still rather scruffy!! I marvel at this change - I hope that, when he is his handsome self, he'll find a wife!!
It's been overcast today, I hope we get some rain as the rain tank connected to the house is only a third full, and next week we are having two lots of family to stay.
