Eye of Newt . . .

One of the newts from our pond went walkabout today and got stuck in Purdy's outside drinking bowl.  I gently fished her out and, after a very quick photocall, I popped her back onto a rock at the edge of the pond. I'm not sure if this is a Common Newt or a Palmate Newt but it more closely resembles the picture of a Palmate Newt in my book.  If anyone can advise me on this I would be grateful.
