Day to remember

As I watched the account of the death of the Queen on tv I couldn’t help remembering the day her father died.
It was announced at my school when we were summoned to a special assembly during morning lessons to give us the news.
Only radio and newspapers in those days. How different today.
Such a devoted monarch.
