My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,

Our news has been filled today. I can only imagine what UK tv is like. 

Fazzy, bless her heart, sent me her commiserations "on the loss of your queen". 

I wrote back saying that technically she was also Fazlyn's and then accused her of being an anarchist. 

Caro, for her part, is looking forward to the state funeral "for the people-watching". 

So it is not exactly grief we are feeling here. It's more that sense of bookending our lives by these events. 

A chapter just ended. Let's leave it at that.

p.s. Caro was just looking at the line of succession and predicted that one of the royal grandchildren will "turn out to be a right little c*nt".
