Knottman ‘s Fern Guide, Part 9.

There are 3 varieties of Polypody found in our local area.
They are Common Polypody, Southern Polypody and Western Polypody.
Mrs. K. Tells me that this is the last of these, Polypodium interjectum, sometimes known as Intermediate Polypody.

This Fern likes shady areas. It grows on rocks and walls and also on moss covered trees.

My extra shows the underside. Note how the leaflets are offset. This also shows the spore cases well.
