Grass - Stone - Water

I assume this is part of the original Caledonian Canal stonework from the early 19th century. Sometimes I daringly walk along the edge on such stones, being very careful not to trip and end up in the drink. Today I have been submitting a story to BBC Scotland who are asking for 'Scottish Stories.' This process took ages as it always does, because to have to check and re-check everything and then find you've pressed the wrong button. The answer will come in January 2003. I'll have forgotten all about it by then.
