The Queen

Orla is old enough to be glued to the TV watching the news whilst Conor is too young to appreciate this news. Conor even asked "who's going to be the next Queen?" which kind of reflects how weird it is going to be having a King. 

This feels now like a time for the country to pause and reflect on the last 70 years, which for most of us is our whole lives. It was the Platinum Jubilee just a couple of months ago but there had been other Jubilees. This is a one-off event. 

It is also a reminder to everyone that elderly relatives will not always be with us. Even though she was 96, I think we all expected at least a few more years. It is the end of an era.
