The end of another era

This is our old cricket pitch which sits below sea level and is soon to be demolished as it’s moving site to higher ground, all part of the river restoration project. They had a party last Sunday evening to mark the event and we could hear the fireworks, it was rather a damp evening. The trees will soon be chopped down which is a shame. On occasion the clubhouse has almost completely submerged when it has flooded so it needs ro move position. We have a new temporary tarmac road near White Bridge just completed, it looks very smart.
