A Nation Mourns

We heard the news of the passing of Her Majesty halfway through our flight to America. I am surprised at the strength of sadness I feel for someone I never even met. I guess that is why she was as so highly regarded as she was - we all felt she belonged to us and she gave us our ‘Britishness’.
