Tarn Howes

Today we started at Fell Foot Park - another National Trust property at the foot of Windermere. Had a lovely wander there although the sun refused to shine. Next drove to Tarn Howes - another beautiful stop. A smallish tarn - as in photo - that is about 1 1/2 miles around - lovely distance for a stroll. Then had a foolish drive over Hardknott and Wrynose passes - some amazing views accompanied by some amazing hairpin bends! The lake District is such a peaceful place - especially out of the main holiday season.
