Green again

It is hard to believe that little more than a week ago our lawn was tinder dry, showing absolutely no sign of life. Since then we have had plenty of rain and the grass responded immediately. By the next day green was showing and now, a week later, it was long enough to need cutting. The ability of grass to recover is quite astonishing. The garden looks so good when the grass is newly cut.
Another day watching the momentous events on television . The formal handover of power to our new King Charles was full of ceremony and it was compulsive viewing. It was good to see William, Kate, Harry and Megan on their walkabout at Windsor.
