S has taken on the task of repairing my air pistol as he has the knowledge and the bits needed. Having inspected it he can’t see why the gunsmiths chap couldn’t work it out as it only took him about half an hour to come up with the right solution.

MG hose fitted and will be tested tomorrow to see if my repair had worked prior to a new one being obtained.
