Strange Days

Literally whole decades have played out in the matter of a week in my home country of the UK. Like many I am not a Royalist - but I sobbed uncontrollably hearing of the death of our Queen - she’s been a constant presence for all of us, almost as though she was immortal!! I’ll miss her greatly!! And I’m not a fan of her son, but seeing him take the roll as King - well, I’ve never been more proud! I detest pomp & ceremony, but no country can do it better. I feel oddly patriotic… it has been rather emotional!
