Exploring

Another disturbed night so a slow start to the day, but gorgeous blue skies eventually got me going. We decided to do some exploring of the area around Greenlaw and started by checking out the ‘under offer’ sign that’s now on their house (cue even greater excitement in the car!) before going to Kelso for a wander. Unfortunately cloudier down here but still nice for looking around. We’d been thinking about getting breakfast but ended up given the time having lunch….then explored the shops, the river, the huge cobbled market Sq (extra) and the ruins of the abbey. Seems lovely…and only 15 mins from their house. Chatted most of the day about her plans for the house and life in the Borders, with work being good about letting her condense her hours and maybe also work one day a week from home so the commuting won’t be too bad. All working out perfectly!
I got a rucksack for my upcoming trip and A got a silky dressing gown from a charity shop then we headed home. Ended up having another nap…we’re both feeling very tired and I am fed up with this lingering cold.
Not sure where the evening went. Watched some rubbish and had a snack supper, too tired to knit, then an early night.
